Beginner and Improver Lessons

We are currently enrolling for our Beginners course - Starting Wednesday 23 Sept.


Lessons will be available weekly on a Wednesday as an 8 session course - price $10 per session - for those wanting to either start from the beginning or just to brush up specific aspects of their game on an ad-hoc basis.

Each 2-hour session lasts from 9:30 am to 11:30 am



The 8-session schedule -

  1. Sept 23 Intro/Hand Evaluation/Natural Bidding

  2. Sept 30 Standard American Bidding System/1-level bidding

  3. Oct 07 Losing Trick Count/revisit hand evaluation

  4. Oct 14 Pre-emptive bidding including weak 2s

  5. Oct 21 Strategising No-Trump based Declarer Play

  6. Oct 28 Strategising Suit based Declarer Play

  7. Nov 04 Cross-ruffing/Finessing Play Tactics

  8. Nov 11 Bidding/Playing Strong/Very Strong Hands

The schedule is flexible and will be amended to suit attendees needs. However, the course is intended to be constructivist in nature with each session involving extension of knowledge and skills developed in previous weeks.

Improvers

When no beginner's course is in progress, weekly sessions may be used for top up sessions on a demand basis.
